About

Vivantel is an early-stage company building developer infrastructure for retrieval-augmented AI. Our starting point is Virage: most RAG systems lose quality at the chunking step, splitting documents in ways that ignore their actual structure — code, spreadsheets, presentations, and more each need to be broken down differently to stay useful as context for an LLM. Virage is built to do that properly, with an open-core Community Edition and a paid Enterprise Edition for teams that need more source/format coverage, access control, and audit trails. We're honest that this is early: Virage is in active development, has real paying-customer infrastructure in place (checkout, licensing, portals), but no paying customers yet. We'd rather say that plainly than oversell where we are — see the product page for the current state in detail. Alongside Virage, we build and maintain small infrastructure tools we use ourselves and release as open source — see the tools listed on the home page.
